While at IN-FO.CO we designed the exhibition graphics for the new Academy Museum of Motion Pictures’ permanent exhibition “Stories of Cinema.” Working closely with WHY Architects, the 30,000 sq ft galleries feature a flexible graphic system representing a range of perspectives. The exhibition graphics have four key pillars: 1. Static, repeated texts creating motion; 2. A cinematic “countdown leader”; 3. An emphasis on the standardized 4:3 ratio and projection format; 4. and letterboxed images presenting multiple voices.
